FFAJ-logoThe Financial Futures Association of Japan (FFAJ) published the monthly binary option pverview for April, 2016. The total volume of OTC binary option trading in April was 36.78 billion JPY, declined by 9.5% from the previous month and also dropped by 12.35% from the same month last year.

During the month, the number of existing accounts was 343,455, of which 12,225 were active accounts. The total existing accounts a bit increased by 0.4% from March.

Among major traded currency pairs, only AUD/JPY and GBP/USD experienced the growth of trading volume, though GBP/USD increased by only 0.88% month-over-month. AUD/JPY was up by 43.15%, and its trading share grew to 10.0% from 6.34% in March. Regarding the most traded currency pair, USD/JPY, the trading volume was 17.74 billion JPY, decreased by 8.3% from March. USD/JPY accounted for 48.6% of all trading volume.
