The Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) announced that the April 2016 monthly volume of customer trades (combined sell & buy sides) originating overseas was 2,416,659 contracts, accounting for 51.6% of the total trades of 4,682,528 contracts. This share exceeded the previous record ratio of 50.8% with 2,486,232 contracts in January 2016.
The volume of international customer trades in April didn’t hit a new high as the highest volume of international customer trades is 2,677,075 contracts recorded in February 2016.
