A Tokyo-based cloud computing system developer, Orb and Escrow Agent Japan reached a basic agreement on joint research and proving test to apply Orb’s decentralized cloud computing platform “Orb” to authentication and settlement system for real-estate transaction.

The Orb’s platform utilizes blochchain technology for its infrastructure technology. The company also developed a platform named “SmartCoin” for cryptocurrency, utilizing blockchain technology. The tech-company has focused on capability of blockchain technology. Orb participates in Japan Blockchain Association ( JBA ) which was launched last month.

Escrow Agent Japan believes blockchain technology will be able to contribute to the improvement in convenience, rationality and safety for real-estate transaction in the future. The agreement aims to enhance efficiency of the transaction by blockchain.
