Mizuho Bank and NTT DATA will collaborate in the field of FinTech with the aim of continuing to create easy and convenient financial services to launch Accelerate Program which expands and accelerates growth of business with a focus on start-ups. Along with this, the two companies will hold Open Innovation Forum in October 2015. Here are their overviews and plans.

Accelerate Program

Accelerate Program will be launched by utilizing Digital Corporate Accelerate Program powered by NTT DATA. NTT DATA will evaluate new technologies and utilize information-gathering network named “everis Digital”, which is provided by Everis (NTT DATA group’s Spanish subsidiary) and is a crawling tool to collect hundreds of thousands of information regarding venture companies in the world every day, to consider collaboration with the venture companies. The goal of this program is to develop collaborative new business models with the bank, NTT DATA and venture companies .

Open Innovation Forum

Mizuho Bank and NTT DATA will hold Open Innovation Forum in October. This forum is a special version of a forum which NTT DATA has held since 2013. The bank is planning to deliver a speech about their efforts in the FinTech area. There will be a talk session about FinTech among venture companies, NTT DATA and Mizuho Bank.

In the press release, the bank says it will bolster its efforts in regard to provide the most attractive services to meet diversified needs of customers. Also the bank will more actively work on creation of new financial services by collecting information and trends of both domestic and international venture companies and new technologies, and partnering and implementing new systems at an early point, etc.
