PwC Japan Group announced that the group set up FinTech and Innovation Division on August 1, 2016. PwC Japan Group represents the member firms of the PwC global network in Japan and their subsidiaries.
The FinTech and Innovation Division provides consulting services from strategy formulation to development and implementation of business model cooperating with Fintech firms and financial companies. It also offers one-stop service consolidating deal advisory, IT securities and regulatory support, expertise of assurance, and tax and legal services.
By utilizing blockchain technology, the Division extensively supports financial companies who aim for innovation of business model and other companies who see FinTech as business opportunities.
PwC Japan is a platinum partner of “FinSum”, a FinTech Summit held by Financial Service Agency and Nikkei on September 20 and 21, 2016.
The division currently consists of about 40 staff in Japan and aims to fourfold increase the number of the staff in the next 3 years.
