Tokyo Financial Exchange (TFX) disclosed trading volume overview in August. The Combined trading volume for all TFX products was 2,968,257, decreased by 24.7% from July, and 41.1% from the same month last year. Its average daily trading volume was 129,470.

  • Total amount of deposit at the end of month: 422 billion JPY (+0.71% MoM)
  • Number of accounts at the end of the month: 749,734 (+0.72% MoM)
  • Total trading volume: 2,500,382 contracts (-26.5% MoM, -36.6% YoY)
  • Average daily trading volume: 108,714 contracts
  • The most traded pair, USD/JPY had 877,284 contracts for the month, dropped by 23.2% with the daily average volume of 38,143. USD/JPY accounted for 35.1% (previous month: 33.6%) of the total click 365 trading volume.
  • The biggest growth was seen at EUR/USD with 140.4% MoM. The trading volume grew tto 201,379 contracts.
  • The trading volume of EUR/JPY was down to 108,458 contracts, significantly declined by 50.2% from the previous month.

  • Total amount of deposit at the end of the month: 41.5 billion JPY (+1.22% MoM)
  • Total number of accounts at the end of the month: 56,617 (+1.58% MoM)
  • Total monthly trading volume: 263,571 contracts (-28.9% MoM, -72.8% YoY) consisting of Nikkei 225 Margin contract: 198,070, DJIA Margin contracts: 54,006, DAX® Margin contracts: 6,787, FTSE 100 Margin contracts: 4,708.
  • Daily average trading volume: 11,469 contacts
  • DJIA Margin contracts (listed on June 27): 54,006 contracts with its daily averaged volume of 2,348 contracts) It accounted for 20.5% of the total click kabu 365 trading volume.

Three-month Euroyen futures

The trading volume of Three-month Euroyen futures in August was 204,304, increased by 21.7% from the previous month and 57.2% from the last year, and its average daily volume was 9,287. This Interest Rate Futures Contracts is the only product which showed the growth at TFX for the month.
