Monex Group published the monthly business metrics of its subsidiaries ( Monex, Inc. and Trade Station Group ) in May 2016.

DARTs

Global DARTs (Daily Average Revenue Trades) for the month decreased to 274,230 from 299,629 in April (-8.47%), as both its Japanese subsidiary, Monex Inc. and the U.S. subsidiary, TradeStation Group saw drops in their DARTs, they were 168,560 (-11% MoM) and 106,400 (-4% MoM) respectively.

Monex Inc OTC FX average daily trading value

Regarding Monex Inc., the total number of accounts was 1,643,568 including 225,666 OTC Forex accounts while each active account was 998,726 and 63,726 in May. The daily average trade value for OTC Forex was 142,755 million JPY, decreased by 15.94% from the previous month, also dropped by 21.9% from the same month last year.

Monex Inc Stock monthly trading value

For Stock Brokerage at Monex Inc, the monthly trade value was 992.7 billion JPY, declined by 19.5% from April and significantly dropped by 34% from May, 2015. The margin balance at the end of the month was 161.4 billion JPY, remained almost flat from the previous month.

TradeStation Group

TradeStation Group had no notable changes in the month. The number of active accounts was 61,932 with a bit increase from April (61,819). The total client assets was 3,800 million USD while the figure in April was 3,802 million USD. The average equities clients credit balance was 1,373 million USD (1,401 million USD in April).
