moneyforward_logoA Japan-based internet service developer, Money Forward, Inc announced that the company established “Money Forward Fintech laboratory” which operates research and analysis about Fintech.

Money Forward has provided automated household accounts and asset management service app for individuals and cloud accounting, invoicing and payroll accounting service for small and medium-sized companies as well as operated a portal delivering information regarding Fintech. Taking a growing interest in Fintech, the firm has had opportunities to give speeches at various places including Financial Research Center (JFSA Institute).

To respond the increasing social and practical interests in Fintech, organize information about Fintech and strengthen cooperation and relations among companies, financial organizations, the Imperial Household Agency and professionals, Money Forward has decided to establish the Fintech laboratory.

The laboratory aims to facilitate partnering between financial institutions and enterprises and to improve competitiveness in Fintech industry. The firm believes that utilizing Fintech will be able to wipe out worries and concerns over money that Japanese consumers have, and lead further improvement of investment management of individual financial asset of more than 1,700 trillion JPY. Therefore the firm considers Japan’s global competitiveness will be more enhanced with the financial industry at the core.

Main activities for the laboratory are holding Fintech seminar every second month starting from the end of August this year, publishing information, statistics and researches on their official blog and other its medias and producing Fintech newsletter.

Money Forward will hold an event to celebrate the laboratory’s foundation on August 5.
