The Financial Services Agency (FSA) and Nikkei have partnered to host FinSum, a Fintech Summit on September 20-21, 2016 in Tokyo. The summit aims to encourage technological innovation and the expansion of a venture ecosystem that will become the driving force behind new economic growth, as technology becomes more prevalent in our daily lives.
Global fintech leaders and innovators will get together and new networks and inspirations will be generated.
The FinSum has “idea camp”A and “pitch run”. The former event is for students. Student teams of 3 have 24 hours to solve a fintech related challenge given by sponsors. The latter event is a competition among 25 seed stage fintech starups from Japan and abroad and they will deliver presentation in front of an audience of investors and international media after taking world’s leading mentoring and coaching.
The summit looks for applicants for the idea camp and the pitch run. You can find the application form in the website.
